Wicked (2003 Original Broadway Cast)
...
I just spent a day and a half with my pastor's family, hanging out, babysitting the 5 kids, and having dinner with another family in the church. I've been there a lot lately, and I'm becoming part of the family. It's really a blessing to be able to be this close to the people in the church - to where they really do start to feel like actual family. When families and individuals can get together whenever they feel like it and really interact in each other's lives on a day-to-day basis, there's a sense of true community, fellowship, and comaraderie in the faith that begins to take hold. It's truly a blessing from the Lord!
Home again, though. I can't wait for my roommate to get back from Honduras. Yeah. Honduras.
By the way, if you haven't heard the musical Wicked, DO SO. I finally bought it today after having borrowed it from Jeramy a while back (thanks for the introduction!). It's absolutely incredible, well, at least to an underexposed ear such as mine. It's the story of the life of the Wicked Witch of the West up until Dorothy dropped the house. The original cast is stellar, especially Idina Menzel who plays Elphaba (the witch). There are several songs that still make the hair on the back of my neck stand up every time I hear them. It's really worth the listen.
