GIVE AND GAIN

What follows is a humble mulling of thoughts over which I am thoroughly enthused.

"It is more blessed to give than to receive." - Jesus

How much are you willing to give?

I figure we could lose just about anything that we have. I suppose we will eventually lose it all, or lose our hold on it, anyway. Try this thought on for size - How about building our lives to give them away?

Can we be strong enough? Brave enough? Self-disinterested enough?

It's looking forward, really. Live. Love. Learn. Max life out for the sake of knowing God better and showing a glimmer of truth to an uncertain audience, 'cause you know that what will turn out to matter is loving God and people with everything you're already in the process of losing.

We're losing time. We're losing brain cells. We're losing money. We're losing stuff.

Use this life to become a better person, a better child of God. Learn more wonder, more love, more truth, more beauty. Get more appreciation for God! If this life is a training ground for something more, then train hard. And don't be quiet about it. Make sure that people see and hear that something is changing you. You won't change them as a result, but maybe they'll stop for a second and think.
