For something to look at, here are two new issues I picked up yesterday.

I just took a second job! I'm going to be working with a Christian school that meets at New Covenant Church in Anderson to oversee their chapel program and work with students who are involved in the planning and music. I'm really starting to get excited about it. I start tomorrow, but unfortunately that equates to me singing at 8:05am. AM! Blah. I'll get over that by 9:05am.

This is going to be a great chance for me to stretch and spread my wings a bit. It'll give me the opportunity to lead an educate in the realms of worship and music. Y'all who know me know that that's about as good a combination as it gets for me! It'll also give me a chance to work with youth, something my pastor's interested in seeing me do. For some reason he thinks I might be able to do youth ministry at some point. Hmmm.

It looks like the people are going to be great, too. The other faculty, I mean. I got an e-mail from one of the teachers who worked with the program last year. It was like a military intelligence briefing! Gory details on the game and the players. Totally awesome and so helpful. I think I'm actually going to feel pretty prepared for this, which'll be cool. But who am I kidding? They're teenagers!

I bought pants last night. Khakis at Belks. ... (don't laugh at me) ... Seriously! I finally have two pairs of nice dress pants that actually fit. Hooray. They were a little bit expensive, but on sale, and I honestly am willing to spend a little bit more on real satsifaction. Now I don't have to stand in front of the mirror on Sunday mornings asking myself, "Do I really want to wear these?"

Also got my first credit card out of the deal. Don't know how excited I am about that. The words, "necessary evil" come to mind.

I made my first really good smoothie this morning. Bought the blender earlier this week. (really nice - black base with brushed steel control front) Really got the taste and ice levels good. I used honey to sweeten it. Random idea I had yesterday, and boy did it work! Mmm. I can still taste it.

I may not post again 'till next week. Busy next few days. Starting new job, getting ready for church, going to a wedding, and picking a friend up from the airport. *whew* Here we go!
