THANKS, DCB

I have to give a shout out to the David Crowder Band for inspiring a portion of the worship music this Sunday at CPC. We're doing All Creatures Of Our God And King, and if you've listened to the DCB albums, you'll know they like to do this song. I'm not doing it exactly like them, but as I was thinking of how I was going to do this song, I couldn't get their rendition from Illuminate out of my head. Honestly, I usually skip over the All Creatures tracks when I'm listening to the albums, so it's kind of ironic. I hope they don't mind, but I'm borrowing their intro lead, too. .grin.

It'll be folksy (I should give some credit to Derek Webb, too.), and I hope the people will click with that. Hitch in the giddyup. I'm lovin' the art on this one. It feels as if there's almost a sense of community in the music. It's like I'm sitting in a room with other players, just having a great time giving it up to the Lord.

Walking around for the past three days practicing this thing, because I'm not nearly the guitarist that I'd like to be, I can't help but smiling. I can't get through the intro without a warmness in my heart. I just wanna' laugh, but, alas, I have to sing. There'll definitely be a big grin on this one. .chuckle.

P.S. There is one thing I do like about rainy days, provided they come on a Saturday and or Sunday. The mood may get down, but at least the air conditioning in the church has a chance!

I thought there was something different about the way you did that song. I really liked it. Kudos!

I enjoyed it myself. I appreciated the quality and artistic nature of the song. I believe that the Lord is pleased when we dedicate ourselves to glorifying him by doing all things to the best of our ability. Thanks for your dedication.
