God was once again gracious to us. After a rather rough start with setup taking until 9:30, we were able to have a relatively smooth execution. Except for the fact that no one could hear the electric guitar and we had a lot of tempo problems. So thanks to everyone rolling with it. Your patience and perseverance are integral to this ministry.
About the mix, the lead vocal was back up to a better level in the mix. Thanks for correcting that. I don't know how things sounded live, but I hear almost no electric guitar in the tracks where it should have been providing a warm, bold fill. The piano and guitar totally dominate, especially the piano. What I could hear of the guitar on the first two songs, it was on the bassy side, so the bass mostly covered it up. The electric needs to always be more of a midsy fill sound.
Be encouraged, though, because all the response I've heard from those in the congregation has been positive. People were blessed. I'm amazed and humble by how God uses our service while we're off evaluating what we would have liked to have done differently. .chuckle. God's good.
As for the issues with the setup time, I'm going to be working on that. The monitoring system needs to go quicker, but that was all on me this last time.
Core setup guys, make sure you remember that video is a part of your responsibility. Also, you should be shooting to be done by 8:15, no later than 8:30, so you can get out of there.
Have a listen for yourselves, guys. Leave any comments.
