It's time for the Advent season, which means it's time for me to get creative. And it'll all be in quite a flurry, at least at first, anyway. But hey! That's my style/modus operandi, right? Creativity on the fly. Anyway, already got some stuff up the sleeve for the first Sunday (which be the next one - yikes!). Hooray for cello and a person who can play it well.

So I get asked by one of the teachers at school to play piano for her on a song she's leading for a combined worship service this Sunday evening. "Sure." Not a problem. Well, I show up for practice last night (after almost dying from the effects of standing water on the motion of my car on the way there), and I end up playing a bunch more stuff. ... *chuckle* ... What're ya' gonna' do?! I mean, show up, and they ask me to play, on the fly, just whatever comes to me. Whenever this situation happens, I make a minor fuss about not wanting to get in the way or step on toes or punch in where I'm not wanted, but to be perfectly honest, I love it. I don't know why I ever bother considering that I won't do it when I'm invited to participate in this kind of thing. What am I thinking? Of course I'll do it!
... *sigh* ... Daniel, ya' doorknob. DOH!
